‘Chciago Fire’ season 5 spoilers: Who’s going to be filming a PSA?

We all know that “Chicago Fire” is a show that does love to emphasize a lot of drama, but one of the many things that we love about this show is that at the same time, there are also these moments of comedy and lightness that get sprinkled in here and there. They provided a wonderful dimension to the show where you get a reminder that these people are just human — you have some highs, but at the same time, you also have plenty of lows.

There’s going to be plenty of lows coming up on the series, so why not focus within this article on some of the happier news? One of the earlier episodes in January is going to have a story in which Otis and Mouch are going to do their part to create a PSA with one very-simple goal: Trying to convince people to join the Chicago Fire Department! It’s a noble goal, and we gotta applaud them for trying here.

However, at the same time all indications suggest that this is going to not end as planned. The two guys are going to hit a creative wall at some point, and they have to figure out from here if they are going to be able to continue with this project or hand it off to someone else.

While we’re not sure that “Chicago Fire” will necessarily follow this thread for anywhere near as long as we’d like for them to, but we would personally love it if we meet a firefighter next season who was recruited because of the work that they did, and ended up eventually becoming a long-term member of the team. It’d be a happier ending for Mouch than what he had with those romance novels he worked on with Brett.
