‘Fargo’ season 3 adds many new names, rounds out cast
The third season of “Fargo” is really set to get going now, given that filming will begin next month in Calgary leading up to a premiere later next year. Basically, this is going to be one of the coldest sets out there, and we certainly feel for all of the actors who are going to be taking part.
In addition to the names that have already been announced (you can read a little bit more about them now over at the link here), we’re now able to add at least the following to the list.
Michael Stuhlbarg – Best known for “Boardwalk Empire,” the actor will play the right-hand man of Emmit (one of two characters played by Ewan MCGregor in Sy Feliz.
Shea Whigham – Best known for being Ray on “Vice Principals,” here he will be Moe Dammick, the Chief of Police for Meeker County.
Karan Soni – Following his time on “Blunt Talk,” he will be a scientist named Dr. Homer Gilruth.
Bfred Melamed – The “Casual” actor is taking on a “mover and a shaker” named Howard Zimmerman, a guy who can make a profit off of very quick ideas.
Thomas Mann – Finally, the “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” actor will play a science fiction author named Thaddeus Mobley.
The big thing to remember here about “Fargo” season 3 is that we are going to be seeing the show jump forward several years from the first season, which makes this the most contemporary version of the story to date. Hopefully, it will find ways to circle back into the past two iterations of the show, but there is no precise indication as to how in the world that is going to happen. We just know that the first two seasons were of supremely high quality, so hopefully this one will also be in that same vein.
