‘Chicago Justice’: Check out the new season 1 key art

Justice -The first season of “Chicago Justice,” unfortunately, is not coming on the air until March, and we know that for many people out there, there may have been a hope to see it on the air a little bit earlier. We get that, given that the “One Chicago” franchise can be a tad addicting. Also, if you’ve been watching “Chicago PD” you’re already attached to the Antonio Dawson character and want to see him around as much as possible.

So while we cannot say too much more about “Justice” as a series just yet, we can at least give you the key art above prior to the show’s March premiere. With the pillars and the design, the show’s clearly going for a very old-school (as in, ancient Greece / Rome) representation of law; we suppose that with the suits and fancy attire, it screams more “modern-day doing business.” Seeing Joelle Carter’s character, meanwhile, toting a gun may generate a different reaction altogether. Think “be very intimidated.”

Carter is one of the new editions to the “One Chicago” franchise to go along with Philip Winchester, Carol Weathers, and “UnReal” alum Monica Barbaro. All of these actors have turned up in the franchise already; Barbaro’s character was seen in the “Chicago PD” episode “300,000 Likes” earlier this season, while Weathers, Carter, and Winchester were all in the “Chicago PD” episode “Justice” that launched the show last spring.

The only other thing that we can say for the time being is that we were at the set of the show earlier this fall, and they’ve done a really good job creating a courtroom environment that does feel authentic, and gives the characters some space to work and get into character. They’ll be spending plenty of time in there, but there will be times when we see them out more in the field, as well.

While you await more news on “Chicago Justice,” we recommend that you head over here for some further news on the Severide-centered “Chicago Fire” / “Chicago PD” crossover that is going to be coming your way a little bit later this year.
