‘Better Call Saul’ season 3: New promo hypes up ‘Breaking Bad’ tie-ins

Better Call Saul season 2While the latest promo HERE for the upcoming third season of “Better Call Saul” isn’t necessarily bringing a lot to the table for you in terms of new footage, it does serve a significant other purpose: Reminding you of all of the great references to “Breaking Bad” past and present that are found over the course of the show.

Maybe this isn’t as good of a catch-up to the first couple of seasons as going back and watching the past episodes, but hey, isn’t it better than nothing? It’s at least a reminder that this is not a show afraid of looking back at some of the iconic characters that made the original series as outstanding as it was.

We do actually think that there is a larger meaning potentially presented here, as well, given the message that Mike Ehrmantraut received near the end of the third season: A note with the word DON’T written on it. This could mean a wide array of different things, but we certainly know what many people out there would want it to mean more so than anything else: A potential return for one Gus Fring, an iconic “Breaking Bad” character who seems perfect to appear on this show at some point. Isn’t this the right time for it happen? We know that there is a relationship with these characters, and that has to be built upon at some point long before Jimmy McGill a.k.a. Saul Goodman ends up meeting Walter White.

Ultimately, we imagine that there will be some further answers uncovered when the third season of “Better Call Saul” premieres in the spring. If we were to project, at the moment we imagine that there will be some new footage of the show at some point within the first month or so of the year.
