‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Charming without Snow is definitely not a good thing
If you remember back to the first season of “Once Upon a Time,” then you’ll recall that Josh Dallas’ character of David wasn’t always the best guy in Storybrooke. He wasn’t a murderer by any means, but you could certainly consider his romantic life and everything going on there to be a little bit sketchy before the curse was broken.
Moving into season 6 now, we’re going to see another situation where modern-day David is going to be separated from the love of his life once more, and without that consistent positive influence, let’s just say that he could be embracing a little bit more of a darker side. he’s frustrated, he’s down about not having Snow, and we do think that this will all have an adverse effect the longer that it lasts. For more on that, just look at what Edward Kitsis had to say to Entertainment Weekly:
“What we’re seeing through David is somebody who is at his wits end … This curse with his wife, I think that what we’re seeing is that he’s staying up too late. Without Snow, you’re seeing him starting to give into darker impulses. We’re going to see him have to confront his own demons.”
For us a viewer of the show, a darker Charming is rather fun, mostly because you want to see layers and conflicts for characters so that not everyone is going to be so happy every single second of the day. Also, before the curse there wasn’t all that much for Charming and Snow that was really catching our interest. They’ve already found so much of what they could possibly want out of the world, it’s a little bit of a larger challenge in order to determine precisely what should be coming up for them next.
