‘This Is Us’ spoilers: ‘Law & Order: SVU,’ ‘Holby City’ actor to recur

This Is Us -We will be waiting until January to actually see some upcoming episodes of “This Is Us,” but the good news is that you don’t have to wait nearly as long at all to get some further casting news.

According to a report from Deadline, Hari Dhillon (who plays Sunil Varma on “Law & Order: SVU”) has been cast as recurring for NBC’s mega-hit, and specifically is going to be playing the part of Sanjay, a rival for Sterling K. Brown’s character of Randall in the workplace. There is not a whole lot else known at the moment regarding this character beyond this, but Randall is the sort of guy who really cannot seem to get much of a win at the moment. Just look at everything he’s been going through as of late when it comes to Rebecca!

New episodes of the show are going to be coming your way at some point in January, and given the structure of the show’s timeline at present, we have a hard time imagining that we are going to be seeing Sanjay turn up at any point other than the present. After all, we don’t imagine Randall having office rivalries as a teenager!

This casting is one of many noteworthy ones that have been reported as of late, given that Alexandra Breckenridge and Adam Bartley are also both appearing in the second half of this season, both as characters tied in some way to Chrissy Metz’s role of Kate.

While he’s made some guest appearances here in America, Dhillon probably still is best remembered by British audiences for appearing in more than 200 episodes of their medical drama “Holby City.”
