Is ‘This Is Us’ episode 11 new tonight on NBC?

If you enjoy NBC’s “This Is Us,” we do feel like that’s very much understandable given that you would lament there not being a new episode coming on the air tonight. It’s an addictive show, and one stuffed full of drama, hopeful moments, but then other ones that are going to devastate you like no other out there.

For a perfect example of the latter, you don’t have to look any further than what happened at the end of this past episode, where we saw the character of Toby suffer a heart attack right after fighting to win Kate back. Given his journey with her so far, seeing this happen is particularly devastating. It is possible that he finds a way to make it through the recovery process, but there are no guarantees. If he does make it through, he’s going to have to work hard in order to get his life back together quickly.

When the series does return to NBC on Tuesday, January 10, it will help to answer the question as to what happened to Toby — and at the same time, where Kate is going to go with her life moving forward. We know that Alexandra Breckenridge is going to be appearing as a childhood friend of hers, and given that she’s an adult actor, odds are that she will be turning in either the present or very recent past. Meanwhile, Adam Bartley of “Longmire” fame is also someone who is going to be encountering her in some shape or form moving forward.

In the end, it appears that we’ve got a big season ahead for Chrissy Metz, who is coming off of a Golden Globe nomination for the series alongside her co-star in Mandy Moore. Those trophies will be handed down by NBC on Sunday, January 9.
