‘Timeless’ fall finale spoilers: Prepare for key answers on Rittenhouse

For much of the first season of “Timeless,” one of the major questions has revolved around the ever-mysterious group known as Rittenhouse. We don’t know who they are at present beyond a few faces for the organization. Moreover, it’s not entirely clear what they want.

Luckily, all early indications suggest now that this is changing in a rather big way moving into tonight’s episode all about Benedict Arnold — which just so happens to also be the final episode of the year. Speaking to Entertianment Weekly, executive producer Shawn Ryan made it clear precisely what you’re going to be seeing coming up on the show, and how they are looking to speed things along in regards to some of the reveals about who these people really are:

“We’re going to learn a lot about the origins and the operational theories of the organization, and we’re going to put some faces to it … We haven’t seen much of how and who Rittenhouse is in the past and who they belong to, so this episode really does take a quantum leap forward in terms of explaining that.”

In order to uncover more information about the group and their motive, we’re going to be seeing Lucy and company do something that was at one point for them probably unthinkable: Work alongside Garcia Flynn. This is an idea that probably was completely foreign to them previously, and now, they are having to look at this potentially as a new reality, and something that they will have to achieve in the hopes that they want some answers.

The last thing that we can really share before this episode rolls around is a mere reminder: This is just a winter finale. There is more of the story to come, so it makes sense to realize that not every answer is going to be handed down tonight.
