‘Supergirl’ season 2, episode 9 spoilers: Mon-El’s new job

Mon-El -For those of you wondering what the future will hold for Mon-El when “Supergirl” returns to The CW next month, we do now have the first insight on the subject.

In a short sneak peek that was posted on Twitter, it was ultimately revealed that the character, played by Chris Wood, is going to be showing off some of his skills as a … bartender? While the gig may sound a little bit surprising at first glance, we actually do think that he’s got the right skill set for it. He’s got a natural sort of curiosity and passion for life, and we do feel like this should play very well for most of the people in and around the alien bar we first saw earlier this season.

Plus, this particular location seems to be in need of some employees given where we last saw the show at the end of the first part of the season. After all, just remember for a minute or so here that the virus from Cadmus wiped out much of the population on this past episode, so it’s pretty fair here to say that the population of this said establishment is not what it once was, and they’re going to need more than a little bit of help. Mon-El to the rescue?

The biggest thing that we do like about this character above anything else is that he doesn’t seem interested in pretending to be anything more than he is. He may have powers, but he doesn’t seem interested in using them for now and that’s okay. Maybe down the road this will change, but what’s the hurry on that? The only reason he may need to is because of that mystery group of aliens hunting for him, which we did see for the first time very recently.
