‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Cynthia Bailey’s divorce problems heat up
If there is one thing that we should know when it comes to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” at this point, it is that disputes don’t necessarily stay peaceful for very long. You are dealing with a number of people who want to control the narrative in this world, and several of them also know their way around the press and how to use them in order to better influence opinions and get precisely what they want. Therefore, this is something that you should expect to see quite a bit of as we move into Sunday’s episode and the story of Cynthia Bailey’s divorce starts to take more and more center stage.
The synopsis below offers up a pretty good explanation of what you can expect to see over the course of the hour:
“Cynthia’s peaceful divorce takes a turn when Peter starts talking about their relationship to the press. While Kenya hopes to reconcile her differences with Matt, Porsha decides she is ready to buy her first home, despite being unsure of what her new relationship has in store. Kandi hosts an afternoon of tasty eats, but Mama Joyce’s choice of words leaves a bad taste in Phaedra’s mouth. Things also heat up when Shereé spills the tea on Porsha’s past.”
Out of everything that we see in this episode, the thing that is probably the least surprising is that Mama Joyce finds a way to cause some problems. Think about this question for a minute: Is there another family member out there within the “Real Housewives” universe that is more actively involved in the drama than Mama Joyce? Somehow, she always finds a way to get herself involved, and almost everyone else is left to pick through the aftermath of what she does (though it does mostly revolve around Kandi Burruss, of course).
