‘This Is Us’ episode 11: How will Kevin care for Kate after latest development?

It absolutely feels fair to say that we’re in an emotional time at the moment when it comes to NBC’s “This Is Us,” given of course everything that happened at the end of the first part of the season. We knew that there would probably be some sort of stunning development in the midseason finale, given that this is a show that has not been afraid of unleashing some of these things over time. Yet, we didn’t quite expect that this development was going to have anything to do with potentially losing a main character.

So at the moment, we’re left to wonder precisely what is going to happen next for Toby after the heart attack, and what it means for Kate and those around her. Nobody is of course immune from what happens to her, and that includes her brother Kevin. Therefore, Justin Hartley had the following to say when previewing Kevin’s role in everything that could be coming up next in a new interview with TV Guide:

“I think whenever any kind of hardship or tragedy comes along, it usually pulls a family closer together, or at least hopefully. These two are already so insanely close that I think he feels a lot of her pain and he wants to be there for her, and so it will probably keep them as close as they ever were. He’ll try to be there for her as much as he can.”

Obviously, Kevin’s going to be continuing his own journey of self-discovery and trying to find his place in the world; as with anyone else in this situation, it’s not as though the remainder of your life goes away just when you are starting to deal with something like this. He’ll still have his own struggles to deal with, and we presume that as he encounters some of them, we’re going to have a chance to see Kate be there for him much in the same way that he is for her.
