‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Could Regina bring ‘Robin Hood’ to Storybrooke?

Regina -

If you are a fan of “Once Upon a Time,” there may be a part of you still joyfully reeling from the news of this past episode that Sean Maguire is coming back! However, there is a pretty significant twist present here as per usual: We are not going to be seeing the same Robin Hood we once had in Storybrooke in the alternate-universe Enchanted Forest. We knew that this version had no interest in robbing Regina, Emma, or anyone else; he was looking to have a better life with her, and their love story was brutally interrupted by Hades in the most terrible way possible.

Now, we’re left to wonder if there is a way for this Robin to become the old Robin, and for Maguire’s character to eventually have a greater presence on the show. There are no guarantees of anything, but most indications suggest that this is something that will be on Regina’s mind. For some further evidence of this, just take a look at what executive producer Edward Kitsis said on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“If I were her, I would absolutely be thinking [about bringing him to Storybrooke] … [However,] It wouldn’t be a fun show if there weren’t consequences.”

We want to think that there is hope for Regina and Robin, but maybe that’s not possible with this particular Robin, especially since he’s not even real in the timeline that Regina knows. The most important thing one way or another is that she finds some semblance of closure with him, and understands a way for her to better move forward. Would we love for the old Robin to absolutely come back? Absolutely, especially since we made our love for Maguire’s performance very clear in our reaction piece for this past episode.

Probably the most unfortunate thing regarding “Once Upon a Time” and the big reveal is the mere fact that for now, we’re likely waiting until we get around to March before we learn anything more about the story or the alternate-universe Robin’s future. Once there is more to report, we’ll certainly have some of that news for you here. (Photo: ABC.)
