‘The X Factor’ UK: Lady Gaga performs ‘Million Reasons’
Tonight’s “X Factor” results show, aside from the performances even, was much more interesting than usual thanks to the presence of one person and one person only: Lady Gaga. She’s one of the biggest pop stars in the entire world, and she stopped by the ITV program this week in order to perform.
In terms of timing, this absolutely makes sense given that Gaga has a new album out in “Joanne,” and she’s been promoting it all over the place on various shows. For this show in particular, she opted to perform her new ballad “Million Reasons.” We’ve watched her perform this song on a variety of different shows the past month or so, and the presentation here was very different than many of them. Rather than performing at the piano, she stood at the center of the stage at first before getting on a dangerously elevated platform. Why do people gotta make us worried that they’re going to fall?
Anyway, Gaga’s Western-inspired look was on point with what we’ve seen from her for the majority of her press tour, and we continue to love her voice. This song is the perfect argument against people who refer to her as a generic pop star who doesn’t have the ability to sing live. She crushed this! We’ve heard more emotional versions of it live, but this is also far from the first time she’s done it now and may be more accustomed to taking it on in this particular environment.
Unfortunately, it’s difficult to get official videos of these sort of performances unless you’re located in the UK, but we can at least give you a sample of her look from the performance below courtesy of the show’s official Twitter account.
