‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 9 video: Things get creepy — and competitive

After a fairly short hiatus, we come now bearing some rather-good news: There is a new episode of “NCIS” coming back on the air Tuesday! The title this time around is “Pay to Play,” and based on some early indications, it looks like we’re going to see a couple of different things going down over the course of the hour.

1. Chest-puffing – Yep, so it looks like a lot of this is going down. Either the show’s having a good time with us (certainly possible), or they want us to buy into the idea of some serious bro-tension going down between Clayton Reeves and Nick Torres. Either way, it sounds pretty fun and it is yet another reminder of why these two are turning out, at least so far, to be welcome additions to the cast.

2. Creepy murders – We don’t know much, other than that apparently scientists may be involved, and according to Nick, there’s a certain element of this that could feel very much akin to “The Walking Dead.” This case absolutely seems like it’s going to be an interesting one, so we’ll wait and see if it lives up to some of our expectations in terms of the sheer number of twists and turns.

We already know that Mary Stuart Masterson is going to guest star in the episode as Congresswoman Jenna Flemming, whose life could be threatened — and we’re assuming for the time being that she is connected to the main case somehow. As for how exactly that is, let’sj ust say that it’s something that we’ll have to wait until the episode airs in order to find out.
