‘Arrow’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Katie Cassidy returns; the crossover continues
Tonight, “The Flash” brought us the latest installment in the four-part crossover event this week, and if there is one clear way to describe it, is this: Epic. This was an incredibly dramatic, shocking, but also thoroughly exciting hour of television that brought us a wide array of different surprises, twists, and turns. It also gave us a cliffhanger like no other, as we saw the majority of our heroes transported somewhere else by the Dominators, who already attempted to turn all of the characters against one another.
So how is The CW going to try and top everything that we saw tonight? Well, we’re going to get a chance to find out tomorrow with the 100th episode of “Arrow.” There are going to be a wide array of different events that are going to unfold in this episode, but one of the most important ones will be undoubtedly getting a chance to see the return of many familiar faces, including Robert Queen, Moira Queen, and of course Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance.
The twist here is that none of these characters are actually alive; instead, it seems to be a sort of stasis that the Dominators have all of the heroes in, or a way to better ensure that they are all distracted from getting in the way. This is also going to be in turn why Deathstroke is still roaming around out there.
As for how Cassidy is going to surface again across the CW universe (she is apparently going to be a regular across all of the shows this year), that remains to be seen.
