‘Chicago Fire’ season 5, episode 8 preview: Could Casey, Dawson get married in 100th episode?
For everyone out there who loves “Chicago Fire,” next week’s new episode is going to be quite a celebration! “One Hundred” is the title for this installment, and that’s only fitting since we’re celebrating that same milestone for the show itself!
What the writers have done with this installment is figure out a way to celebrate the show through the lens of Molly’s, the institution that serves as a constant bridge between this and some other iterations of the franchise. Of course, at the same time there are going to be a few other stories that surface over the hour. Some of them are going to be funny, whereas a few others are going to be dramatic and potentially heartbreaking.
Synopsis – “Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) apply for permanent adoption of Louie, but quickly discover a hurdle. Firefighter-turned-medical student Jeff Clarke (guests star Jeff Hephner) approaches Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) with an interesting proposition. With hopes of reinvigorating business at the bar, Otis convinces a skeptical Herrmann to throw a bash in celebration of the milestone 100th anniversary of Molly’s, but not without complications.”
One thing that is really exciting here is seeing that Jeff Clarke will be back on the show given that this will serve as a reminder of the earlier seasons of the show. Beyond that, it’s hard to say too much more about this episode other than that we do very much hope that we get a chance to see some good news when it comes to Louie’s adoption in this episode. Given that this is the last episode of the year potentially, we do hope that it ends on a reasonably high note.
Promo – Could we also see a wedding between Dawson and Casey in this episode? While that is far from confirmed at the moment, this promo certainly is making us hopeful!
