‘Criminal Minds’ season 12, episode 7 video: The Garcia experiment

After a week off due to the Thanksgiving holiday there’s going to be a new episode of “Criminal Minds” coming on the air; judging from the new sneak peek below, it definitely looks like this will be a great one!

This sneak peek focuses mostly on fun more so than anything else, as we get the sense that there was a bet regarding precisely how long Garcia could keep a secret — and apparently Prentiss won the bet! This preview is also funny since it shows further some of the tension between Penelope and Luke Alvez — which we gotta think still stems from either some mysterious history or the sole fact that he’s not Morgan and she’s struggling to move forward from that.

Beyond the humor in this preview, there is also a serious issue that is also being addressed here in the return of someone who is claiming to be Tara’s brother. The members of the BAU seem to know this guy mostly from his history of being a somewhat-sketchy character, and not exactly being altogether clear regarding who he is or what his intentions are. Yet, at the same exact time we’ve learned via the synopsis for this episode that the man claiming to be Tara’s brother in this episode is not actually him. Instead, he’s a pretender, and this is an issue that the team is going to have to confront as they try to locate where Tara’s actual brother is located.

Aside from all of this, one of the other challenges present in this episode is whether or not we’re going to see the ratings stay steady following the news that Hotch isn’t coming back. This was revealed on this past episode, so we will have to see what happens from here.
