‘American Horror Story’ season 7: Five people who deserve larger roles

Roanoke -

The seventh season of “American Horror Story” will be premiering on FX at some point next year, but unfortunately, that’s about the full extent of everything that we know about it at present. The network is keeping its cards close to the vest, but at the same exact time, we’re not getting any indication that they are doing something similar to last season, where they will try their best not to say anything at all for as long as they possibly can.

What we want to focus on for the sake of this article is ultimately rather simple: Some actors from the series’ past we’d like to see in a larger role moving forward. Let’s make it clear: We’re not advocating for there to be a billion cast members on the next season. These are just people who, one way or another, should have a little more of an impact.

Emma Roberts – With the fate of “Scream Queens” at the moment up in the air, is there room for Emma to come back for at least a couple of episodes? We know that she can do a lot with a little bit of material.

Taissa Farmiga – She’s one of the most-popular actors to appear on the show, but unfortunately her “Roanoke” role consisted entirely of one episode. Can we find her a part for two or three installments at the very least? We’d love to see her take on a villain.

Finn Wittrock – Like Farmiga, his role was very small in “Roanoke” and we certainly know that he can deliver in a much larger capacity. Just take a look at Dandy, arguably a top 10 character in the entire franchise.

Naomi Grossman – We already know what she can do as Pepper, another top 10 character who was at the center of our favorite episode of “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” What we’d like to see now is what she can do in another completely different character given how she made that one so memorable.

Evan Peters – Finally, we turn to the only person on this list who’s been a part of every season. His role on “Roanoke” was surprisingly small, and we feel like his high point creatively was all the way back in “Asylum.” We’d actually love to see him take on more of a leading-man style role in season 7 where he can be at the forefront of the action.
