Is ‘Blindspot’ season 2, episode 10 new tonight? When we’re coming back; ratings talk
Tonight, we’re going to have to start getting used to a new normal on NBC, at least for the next five or six weeks: One that does not have new episodes of “Blindspot” coming on the air.
There is not a new episode airing on the network tonight, which means effectively that you’re going to be stuck for a while now with that terrible cliffhanger over the shooting, and many other questions regarding precisely what Sandstorm wants out of Weller. Of course, it was intentional that there be such a dramatic cliffhanger over the course of the holiday break; the producers wouldn’t really have it any other way, would they?
For those who did miss it, the show will return on January 4 at its normal time of 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We want to now transition over to another integral topic: The ratings.
So far this season, “Blindspot” is averaging a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which isn’t necessarily abysmal by NBC standards. Yet, at the same time it’s also not particularly great. This is a drop of 33% from the season 1 average. The reason we’re telling you this in this article is because it’s important now to start rallying some viewers in order to make sure the show stays on the air a long time. If you’re recording the show, why not try watching it live unless you’ve got something else on at that time? Or, why not try to start recommending it to some of your friends?
While we do think the show is very likely going to get a season 3 renewal, at the same time isn’t this the perfect time to start looking ahead and angling towards a season 4 renewal, and making this a show that remains a staple of the network?

I for sure would miss the show if it were cancelled!! The day and time slot change is a factor, in part, to the drop in ratings. BUT I truly believe that the current plots of Allie’s pregnancy and the Nas with Weller thing are among the main reasons for the loss of viewers. Fans, especially Jellers, want more of a Jane and Kurt romance, (or at least, close relations together), rather than having Weller whore-around-town. And social media postings (from Jellers as well as other fandoms) strongly support the demise of the Nas/Weller hook up and also, including the baby story with Allie. Besides, other inconsistent storylines currently plaguing the show, if the stories return to the rekindling and consummation of Jeller in concert with more focus once again on the mysteries of Jane’s tattoos, the show may still have a good chance of being renewed for a Season 3. A lot of the show’s survival depends on Gero and the writers, and if they are willing to listen to feedback from the fans. It seems like they have their own agenda for irrelevant and soap opera based plots which are surely causing the show to fail. We can only hope that they retro back, even if just a little, to the original premise of the show which captured a devote fan base!
