NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results preview: Are Ali Caldwell, Josh Gallagher, Christian Cuevas facing elimination?
We’ve got a pretty good sense when it comes to the people who are likely safe heading into tonight’s new episode of “The Voice,” and with that, we’re here to put the focus on something a little bit different: Precisely who some of the people are who are in danger of being eliminated.
The following four people, based on iTunes sales figures at present, are the ones who are likely facing the most danger going into tonight.
Courtney Harrell – While she made it into the top 100 on iTunes courtesy of a #79 placement, at the same time that’s not the sort of number that guarantees her much in the way of safety. The majority of the artists are placing much higher than that! The one thing she’s got going for her is that she is on Team Blake Shelton, and his contestants always tend to fare well.
Josh Gallagher – As of this writing, he’s at #84 with “Drunk on Your Love.” Given that he’s on Adam Levine’s team rather than Blake Shelton’s, he’s not going to have the luxury of that same cushion by any means.
Ali Caldwell – This is where things are going to start to get a little bit trickier. Miley Cyrus’ standout is not even in the top 100 with “9 to 5,” and the thought of losing someone who’s one of the best overall performers this early is incredibly depressing. We do put much of the blame here on the coach, given that Dolly Parton music does not probably line up well at all with who we’d perceive to be Ali’s overall fan base.
Christian Cuevas – Finally, Christian’s also out of the top 100. If we had to pick someone to go home tonight, it’d probably be him, but viewers in the moment could opt to save him over the feel-good story of him just getting engaged.
