‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’ episode 10 preview: Be prepared for two hours, two eliminations

David -

Just in case you were looking for something great to do the night before Thanksgiving, we’re pretty sure that CBS has the answer. Not only are you going to get two Tribal Councils on “Survivor” Wednesday and two castaways eliminated from the game, but we’re going to be seeing all of this unfold over the course of two hours!

In the past, we’ve seen the show adopt some different formats when it comes to double-eliminations. There have been times when they’ve aired both of them within the span of a single hour, but we suppose that one of the luxuries of having a larger cast, and airing an episode on the night before Thanksgiving, is that it gives you flexibility to do things like that. Clearly, there’s enough footage to make this work.

The preview below doesn’t offer too much information up beyond what’s already been showcased, but the fairest assumption to make right now is that we’re going to start to see the dominant alliance crumble a little bit. There are, after all, nine people there as opposed to two people in Jay and Will who are sitting at the bottom. There are some people within that group of nine who won’t make it to the end in this present configuration. If four of those people leave and work with Jay and Will, all of a sudden they’ve got a new dominant alliance, and all of a sudden #6-#9 in this alliance become #1-#4 in a new one.

What’s the biggest challenge here? We imagine that a lot of it will have to do with some of these players trying to figure out precisely where they stand in this alliance before making a move.
