‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Kandi Burruss’ past comes back

When you feel like you’re getting a great opportunity to move on to the next phase of your life, one of the last things that you want to encounter is a case of your past coming back to become a thorn in your side once more. It’s a situation where it’s easy to have sympathy for someone, unless of course this person was royally wronged in some sort of way and has every reason in the world to come back and try to make their presence known.

For much of this story on Monday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” we’re going to see that front and center for Kandi Burruss as a visitor rocks her world and getting very emotional. You get to see a little bit of that in the preview below; given that she just welcomed a child, you want this to be a happy time for her! Instead, it’s ending up just being an emotional one.

Synopsis – “Kenya and Matt take their relationship to the next level with a road trip to Matt’s family reunion. Cynthia struggles with the idea of not being on good terms with Peter after they divorce. Bob tries to coax Shereé into going out on a date, while Porsha comes up with her own idea of a modern family. Kandi gets an unexpected visit that has her questioning what’s best for her daughter.”

Obviously, relationships seem to be a theme of this season one way or another at the moment. While it remains to be seen if it remains this way forever, we imagine that we’re going to see a lot of characters trying to navigate some of the thoughts and feelings that they’ve got for most of the near future.
