‘Shark Tank’ video: EnergyBits, Line Cutterz, Barbell Apparel, and PupBox
There’s a new episode of “Shark Tank” coming in just a matter of hours, and with that in mind, we’re here now to do something that is a bit of a tradition for us at this point: Sharing sneak peeks and impressions of some of the products!
Think of this as the perfect compliment to the preview article we posted earlier today, and a precursor to our full review for this episode, which will be coming your way a little bit later tonight. Click on any of the individual links below to be taken over to the product’s official website. Update: Be sure to also check out our full review for tonight’s installment.
EnergyBits – Maybe this algae-tablet product really works to enhance your energy and help promote a healthy lifestyle. We don’t quite know; however, what we do know is that we’re perpetually wary of this sort of product just because it makes such big, bold claims, and there’s no guarantee it works for everyone. Mark Cuban in particular is very hard on products within this space, so seeing his reaction to this should prove interesting.
PupBox – It’s still our favorite product of the show tonight, and one with a very clear audience: People who want to make raising their puppy into a full-on experience. The presentation does a good job of explaining precisely why the company exists, and what you get in each one of your monthly boxes. We’re not as crazy about the messaging, mostly because not everyone loves labeling their pets in the same way they do their children — not that we think that’d stop them from getting a deal.
Barbell Apparel – Another very solid presentation here, largely because the messaging here is so clear in terms of what the product is, who it’s for, and what makes it different than your standard denim jeans / shorts. These are made for athletes and weightlifters, and will fit them properly in ways other products will not. The idea is great? The valuation is dangerous, since they are really claiming that this company is worth a lot of money. Hopefully they’ve got the sales to back it up.
Line Cutterz – We’ve already made it clear that we’re not a fisherman, and as a result of that, it’s hard to comment on the effectiveness of this as a product. With that being said, we can tell you based on this preview that it’s a darn good presentation. While we don’t know the finer details such as sales or margins, it’s a really great demonstration on what the product does and how impressive its use really is. On paper, it seems to be perfect for QVC, where such demonstrations are possible.
