‘Pitch’ episode 9 preview: What’s up for Mike, Ginny?
There really aren’t too many shows out there that could probably get a lot of mileage out of a story involving a no-trade clause, but “Pitch” somehow can pull it off! It’s because of the amount of time and effort that they’ve put into developing the world of the Padres. They’ve done an exceptional job of emphasizing that this isn’t just a show about sports; it’s about the people how the people move about in that world. There’s a sense of family that is there, so you don’t want to lose people! Often as fans we think of trades and the like as a very clinical thing, but in reality, it’s far more complicated than that.
This is something that you’re going to see a whole lot more of when the show airs its next new episode entitled “Scratched” on December 1. Remember that “Pitch,” like so many other shows across network TV, is going to be sitting thanksgiving out in order to avoid terrible ratings.
As expected, we’ve got a little more information for you below.
Synopsis – “Mike becomes the biggest news story in the MLB when rumors start about him waiving his no-trade clause. Meanwhile, Evelyn and Will (guest star BJ Britt) go in on a business venture together, but Amelia is concerned that it relies too heavily on Ginny’s fame.”
Promo – Consider this to be raising the stakes rather considerably. After all, this preview makes it more than a little bit clear that Mike and Ginny could be taking a turn for the romantic; unfortunately, it’s coming at a time in which Mike may have to face a future that does not include being a part of the team.
