‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Brooke Shields signs up for December episode
After a lengthy hiatus thanks to a wide array of different things, in between the World Series and the Presidential Election, “Scream Queens” is finally coming back on Fox tonight in order to air its first episode in effectively almost a month.
In celebration of that, how about a little bit of casting news? According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, none other than Brooke Shields will be appearing on the upcoming December 13 episode of the show in the role of Dr. Scarlett Lovin, a ridiculously-named television doctor who has some obvious comparisons on the surface to Dr. Oz. She also just so happens to be an idol of many of the Chanels.
As for how she factors into the story, much of that remains to be clear — but you can add her to the list of entertainment icons who are a part of this show at the moment. Jamie Lee Curtis is a part of the regular cast, and John Stamos and Kirstie Alley both joined this season for significant roles. The only explanation as to why this particular series is able to acquire so much talent is ultimately rather simple: Executive producer Ryan Murphy. Time and time again, he’s shown himself to be extremely well-connected to a wide array of stars, and he also posses the unique ability to get a lot of people on board with some of his out-there ideas. He basically gives people chances to play roles that they are not going to find virtually anywhere else.
After tonight’s new episode, maybe we’ll get a further sense as to where the story is going prior to the big arrival of Shields’ character in the end.
