‘Dancing with the Stars 23’: Sharna Burgess set to dance with James Hinchcliffe again

DWTS -For everyone who missed seeing Sharna Burgess perform on “Dancing with the Stars” this season, we come bearing great news: She’s back!

Speaking to E! News in a statement, the pro dancer (pictured above with Artem Chigvintsev in a promo shot from ABC) confirmed that after two weeks away with an injury, she will be back on the show Monday night to perform again with James Hinchcliffe, who at present is one of the favorites to be in the finale this season:

“The last two weeks were really tough, but certainly worth the wait and getting healthy … And now I can officially say I am back! I am feeling great and so excited to be back dancing with James this week! It has been amazing to watch him deliver such great performances these past two weeks, but I am so excited to be back in for the semi-finals and take James to the finale!!”

During her absence Sharna was replaced by fellow pro Jenna Johnson, who performed earlier this season with Jake T. Austin of “Wizards of Waverly Place” fame. The two fared fairly well in her absence, and in retrospect it was the right move for Sharna to take her time to get better as opposed to rushing back into things. Because of this, she was able to rest up and heal so that she and her partner could be in better position to dominate now. He’s scored so high really from the premiere onward that we don’t believe that he’s ever been in any sort of grace danger of going home.

We’ll see how James and Sharna do from here, but congratulations to the two of them for making it this far! We’ll have more news on “Dancing with the Stars,” including some more spoilers on upcoming routines, up tomorrow over at this link. Stay tuned… (Photo: ABC.)
