‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10 casts Christopher Lloyd in mystery role
Great Scott! There’s some excellent casting news coming in from the world of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Unfortunately, there is not too much known beyond that at present other than a premiere date: Thursday, December 1. That is when you’ll get a chance to see completely the actor in action on the show. He’s obviously done many other remarkable things over the course of his career, but it’d be a mistake to put any of them higher than his role as Doc Brown in the “Back to the Future” franchise. That’s also what probably makes him appealing to this show, given that he’s a genre mega-star who may engage and get viewers excited in a way that nobody else really did.
Of course, at the top of our list of characters we’d like to see on the sitcom moving forward is Howard’s father, but we don’t have any information suggesting at all that this will be his part. As a matter of fact, we doubt it. We don’t think that he will be playing himself, so that’s something. It’s also what makes this show’s universe so interesting, given that you have people like Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton appearing as themselves while actors like Lloyd are playing other roles. Clearly, someone like a Sheldon or Leonard have probably watched “Back to the Future” more times than we can possibly count.
Thursday night on the show, be prepared to see an episode that while rather different from this one, will be incredibly silly in its own way. After all, remember for a minute here that Sheldon will be contemplating the idea of having children with Amy just because of the results of some test. In some ways, it feels almost like Sheldon is thinking this way more for the purpose of trying to start up some sort of genius army. (Read more about this episode here!)
