Is ‘This Is Us’ episode 7 new tonight on NBC? Scoop on Thanksgiving episode

This Is Us -November is an extremely busy time of the year in terms of there being a heck of a lot of stuff going on, and that’s especially true this year in between the World Series ending last week, Election Day happening at present, and Thanksgiving Week coming up later in the month. All of these mean various preemptions and/or repeats, and that is happening tonight with NBC and “This Is Us.”

After the show aired several new episodes over the course of the past several weeks, even one against the World Series that still delivered some pretty solid ratings, unfortunately we’re going into repeat territory tonight. While we do think NBC could air a new episode that would do okay in the numbers, at the same time there’s no reason for them to do so. Also, NBC more or less has an obligation to air election coverage, given that the entire future of the country depends on the results. (Don’t worry — no politics here!)

We don’t want to leave you with just disappointment over there not being a new episode of the show tonight, so in addition to reminding you that we’ve got a preview for next week’s new episode at this link, we want to take a look down the road at the upcoming November 22 installment. This is one that will be Thanksgiving-themed, and the title for it is “Pilgrim Rick.”

As for what is coming up in this over the course of the hour, be prepared to see in the past Jack and Rebecca taking their kids to the home of Rebecca’s parents in order for them to have a typical Thanksgiving celebration. Given that this is television, though, you have to assume that things are going to go a little bit haywire.

As for what’s happening in the present, let’s just say that Kate is going to make a couple of decisions that will change her life radically. Meanwhile, Karen will be bringing Olivia to Randall’s home for another Thanksgiving celebration. There’s also a big reveal and emotional reaction coming for Randall in this episode, but we cannot tell you precisely what timeline it’ll be a part of.
