‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6, episode 8 preview: ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror,’ and the Evil Queen’s next move
Tonight, “Once Upon a Time” brought us one of the more surprising endings that we’ve seen for any episode so far this season, once where the Evil Queen’s plan for revenge basically led to her making the decision to destroy Snow and Charming’s relationship via psychological means. Rather than killing them, she enacted a curse where the two could never be together. As soon as one of them was alive, the other would be asleep. They never would have the opportunity to walk the earth at the same time, which is pretty darn painful for the two of them given all they’ve been through.
So what’s coming up next for her, now that she’s seemingly got what she wanted? We were very curious going into “I’ll Be Your Mirror,” an episode that seems to be giving more insight into whatever world that we saw Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito) in back during the first season of the show. We don’t know if Esposito himself is going to be appearing in this episode, but it definitely seems like there’ll be a lot of interesting craziness that we get to see regardless.
For Emma and Regina, they are going to forge a rather-interesting plan to try and ensure that they trap the Evil Queen behind a mirror, which would be a rather wonderful slice of irony when you stop and consider for a minute precisely where it is that she is coming from. It’s just too bad that we don’t exactly see this working for them without a hitch when there are so many components to what they want to do.
As for what else you can expect to see here, apparently the Evil Queen’s going to unleash some sort of giant monster to kill Emma. Clearly, there’s no reason to keep her or almost anyone else alive now that she’s got what she wanted.
