‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 7 video: Chloe’s story takes center stage in ‘My Little Monkey’

We’re starting to get a decent ways into this season of “Lucifer,” and what that means is a chance to make some transitions. We’ve dived into some of the mythology already regarding Lucifer’s mother, and as a result of that the story can settle in and focus on a wide array of other things. For those of you specifically interested in getting some more Chloe backstory, the next new episode of the show entitled “My Little Monkey” is going to be your opportunity to see plenty of that.

While you may already know a little bit of her character’s history with what happened to her father, this episode could change almost the entire course of that. She’s spent a good deal of time believing that one person is the responsible party for what happened to him; however, in this episode that could be flipped on its head all thanks to new evidence. It’s like reopening a new wound and running the risk of it getting infected all over again. There are some other stories in this hour, granted, but we feel like by comparison they are somewhat minor and the majority of the power and the emphasis will be put behind what is going on with her.

The synopsis for this episode below suggests that further.

“When the prisoner convicted of killing Chloe’s father is murdered, new evidence suggests he was actually framed. Meanwhile, Maze tries to find a job and Lucifer shadows Dan in order to learn how to be ‘normal.'”

We for the most part consider “Lucifer” to be a show that relishes in being devilish and somewhat lighthearted. Therefore, it’s much like “Supernatural” in that when it gets emotional, it means a little bit more. Let’s hope that this is the case for Monday’s episode.
