‘Scream Queens’ season 2 spoilers: Is Hester joining the staff?

We’ve seen some surprises on “Scream Queens” already this season (or in the first season — really anytime. This show does perpetually find a way to surprise us). Yet, somehow seeing Hester get out of her predicament early on this season has to be one of the most surprising. She’s one of those characters who somehow manages to be a survivor, and you want to root for them for that so much that you, even if it’s just for a split-second, forget about some of the unspeakable things that they’ve done. Then, of course you remember and everything snaps back to reality.

By the time we get around to the November 22 episode entitled “Blood Drive,” one of the big surprises is not going to be per se that Hester is out; instead, it’s that she could actually find a way to get aboard the staff. It’s crazy, but she is crazy and so is the show. The recently-released synopsis via Fox also serves as a great way to get some further insight on what is coming up next:

“After an influx of patents at the C.U.R.E. institute, Dean Munsch and Chanel organize a blood drive to solve the hospital’s severe shortage. Meanwhile, Nurse Hoffel sets a plan of revenge in motion, Hester finds a way to join the hospital’s staff and a shocking revelation involving The Green Meanie.”

Given that this is only the sixth episode of the season, we figure that there are many revelations still to come with this character. One of the big things that you do have to remember with “Scream Queens” especially is that this is a show where almost anything can happen — and often anything does happen. There’s still plenty of time here for whatever we learn to slowly undo itself before we get around to the finale.
