‘Blue Bloods’ season 7 spoilers: A Jamie – Eddie photo that may make the internet explode

On last night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods,” there was an opportunity to see what may be the beginnings of something romantic between Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray), as the two characters started opening up for the first time about some of their relationships past and present. Eddie was dating someone at the start of the episode, but by the end of it, signs seemed to suggest that it was starting to fall by the wayside. Make room for Jamie!

Now, it seems like that could be the door opening for a relationship some fans have been waiting forever to see. (Warning: If you want to remain completely unspoiled for Friday’s episode, you should probably stop reading.)

The photos both above and below are from Friday’s upcoming episode, and that certainly makes it look like a kiss is on the way! Maybe it’s possible in theory that this is some sort of dream sequence, but “Blue Bloods” isn’t really a show that bandies about much with fantasy. The reality is that as soon as these two people realize that the one thing they’ve been looking for in their lives may have been in front of them all along, all of a sudden there’s much less of a reason to wait around. They’ve already been partners for a while and they know each other well, so why not go for it?

What’s also exciting is that if this does turn into a relationship, it could lead to so many other interesting avenues being explored. For one, would they be able to still work together? Also, what would the rest of the Reagan family think? The goal suddenly feels like it would be getting Eddie at those famous family dinners, and while we don’t think it’ll be happening in the immediate future, we can imagine it down the road if the two hit it off well as a couple that will go the distance.
