TV Quick Hits: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4 premiere date; ‘Life in Pieces’ casts Jeff Probst; ‘The Defenders’ news
“Sleepy Hollow” fans have been subjected to quite a bit over the past several months, whether it be the news of Nicole Beharie’s departure to a massive overhaul to then waiting for an official premiere date. Well, we’re now happy to have it!
Fox announced on Thursday that the latest batch of episodes for the Tom Mison series, which will feature the return of Lyndie Greenwood and the first appearance of Janina Gavankar (“True Blood”) this season, will start on Friday, January 6 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. It’s a tough timeslot, and the series in general could struggle simply due to the weight of having such a polarizing end to last season. Personally, we think it’s worth a shot — even if we are cautious that so much of the original’s heart will be gone.

“Rosewood” heading to Fridays – The Morris Chestnut series will be teaming up with “Sleepy Hollow” to comprise that night’s lineup.
“The Defenders” books Jessica Henwick – Following her turn as Colleen Wick on the upcoming “Iron Fist,” you’ll have a chance to see her on the upcoming Marvel team-up series. This is one of many casting announcements that we’ve seen for “The Defenders” over the past few days.
“Life in Pieces” gets Jeff Probst – The famed “Survivor” host will be making an appearance as himself on an upcoming episode of the show, as one of the characters is going to be doing what they can in hopes of making it out to the CBS show. Sure, this is product synergy, but it makes sense given how many people out there all love “Survivor.” Ironically, it’s not the first time Probst will be showing up on a CBS comedy — he played a ridiculous version of himself on “Two and a Half Men.”
