‘CMA Awards’ hosts promise political jokes, Lochte booted off ‘DWTS’, Kate Gosselin returns to TV
If you haven’t noticed yet, it’s November! The year is moving fast with so much great television still slated to premiere this month. Perhaps the most interesting aspect is how many new reality shows are slated to debut this month. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, “Vanderpump Rules” and “Jay Leno’s Garage.” Finally, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” sounds like it is going to be fun in the kitchen with Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart cooking for the holidays with famous guests stopping by. Kicking off on November 7th on VH1, the promo even suggests there will be a few very unique ingredients used.
Ryan Lochte gets the boot on ‘DWTS’
Serious fans of “Dancing With the Stars” knew last week that Ryan Lochte was on his way out. His dancing hasn’t been competitive enough to actually keep him in the competition. Perhaps that’s why on Monday night when Tom Bergeron let everyone know he was going home there was a collective sigh of relief. At the beginning, the antics of the athlete’s situation was enough to keep everyone interested, but he’s no longer offering up a fresh look on the dance floor. Guess this means he will now have time to talk with the cops in Brazil about that investigation after all.
Hosts of ‘CMA Awards’ promise a few laughs at the expense of politicians
The “CMA Awards” are on Wednesday night and people are revving up to be offended. Well, perhaps not everyone, but there is a distinct undertone that some folks want political jokes out of the show. In years past, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have created songs and poked fun at stars. This year with the presidential election only days away, they might take a few stabs at the presidential election and they won’t be apologizing for it. In act, Brad Paisley has hinted they are working on material for the upcoming show! Catch all the humor (and the great performances) on Wednesday night by tuning into ABC.
Kate Gosselin’s family returns to reality TV in ‘Kate Plus 8’
If you liked the original family based reality shows, you might be excited to hear “Kate Plus 8” is returning to TLC in November. Sharing how the kids have grown up, the upcoming season is expected to highlight the changes within the family structure. Now if you’re like me, you might be thinking it seems that every 12 to 18 months the Gosselin family returns to offer up another special. It’s true and every time the folks who don’t appreciate the show make a huge stink about her. “Kate Plus 8” is premiering on November 22.
And Finally…. Monster’s, Inc. celebrates 15th anniversary on November 2
Can you believe the 15th anniversary of Monster’s Inc. is Wednesday? When watching the movie on ABC or the Disney channel, it seems like only yesterday when this movie captured our hearts and offered a fun look at the monsters. Now it appears those cute creatures are teenagers! The popular movie is fun for all ages and this anniversary is a perfect reminder of a timeless classic film (that really isn’t scary at all!)
