‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 5: Danielle Panabaker on Caitlin’s Killer Frost fears
On Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash,” we will be getting a little bit more of a showcase into the Caitlin Snow character than we’ve seen yet this season. She’s started to realize that she has some of these Killer Frost powers, and while for some people that would be exciting, for her, it is a cause for a little bit of fear. What’s the reason for that? Well, let’s just say that a lot of it does stem from the fact that she’s seen her Earth-2 doppelganger before, and that could be raising a few questions in her head about just who she could be becoming at some point down the line.
In speaking about this fear further, and why it could be keeping her from embracing these powers, Danielle Panabaker said the following in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly:
“After hearing [about], and briefly meeting, Killer Frost at the end of season 2, I think she’s terrified that could be her future. She said to Cisco at the end of last season, ‘I’m scared, I don’t want to become her,’ as she was suffering from her PTSD after everything with Zoom. It is something that she’s very afraid of and cognizant of and trying to avoid.”
We do have to think that there is going to be some really interesting developments coming up when it comes to Caitlin and her powers; while Killer Frost was almost always a villain within the DC Universe, who says that this dictates exactly who she is going to be here? One way or another, we imagine that this is going to be an interesting journey, and we wouldn’t mind if it at least has Caitlin questioning whether or not she is fighting for the right side.
