‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6, episode 7 spoilers: The Evil Queen makes a threat in ‘Heartless’ synopsis
At the end of Sunday night’s episode of “Once Upon a Time,” we got a little bit of a better sense as to what the Evil Queen’s endgame is — other than getting a little frisky with Rumpelstiltskin. She wants to ensure that she is able to take the heart of Snow White once and for all, and she feels like she’s starting to get closer to this actually happening. She’s got the shears, for one, which Hook thought were deposited in the bottom of the ocean.
The synopsis below for the upcoming “Heartless” makes it clear, though, that all of our characters — including the Evil Queen’s other half in Regina — are not going to give up without a fight in terms of finding a way in which to stop her:
“In a flashback to the Enchanted Forest, Bandit Snow dodges a bounty hunter known as the Woodcutter while shepherd David goes on a fateful journey to sell his family’s farm. In Storybrooke, the Evil Queen threatens to destroy the town and everyone in it unless Snow and David surrender their hearts. As Emma, Hook and Henry prepare to defend Storybrooke, Snow, David and Regina search for a magical sapling created by the first spark of true love. Regina uses Gold’s and the Evil Queen’s burgeoning romance against them, and Zelena offers Belle some friendly advice.”
Where Zelena stands in all of this to us is one of the biggest mysteries of the season, mostly because at the moment, she doesn’t have a lot to do. Sure, we understand wanting to keep Rebecca Mader in the cast, but she’s gotta have a chance soon to decide between which part of her sister she wants to help … right?
If nothing else, we’re excited for Ginnifer Goodwin to have some heavier storytelling in this episode, given that it’s been rather light for the Snow character for quite some time.

WHITE TRASH FOR LILLY WHITE STORYBROOKE!! I must rate Once Upon A Time Heartless as 1.5 stars out of 5.00. It was just that god awful. Sorry, But Once Upon A Time is about “MOMENTS”, and nothing more. Outside of rare moments that do excite you, in sum total this show has become pure garbage now. And the reason for this is that NO ONE ELSE EXCEPT REGINA/THE EVIL QUEEN uses magic any more. What drew me towards this show is all of the “MAGICAL MOMENTS” and the interesting characters that used magic. Seems that thus far, only Lana Parrilla gets to use her magical abilities. Zelena is a jealous teenager who sulks around snitching, Rumplestiltskin is a lovesick fool who has forgotten that he is the Dark One and Emma shakes so badly all the time you would swear she was a heroin addict suffering from withdrawal. In Essence, the other major characters, especially those with magical abilities have nothing to do except play set up piece for some other character. The Never Were-Charmings, Prince Idiot and Snow Stupid I have never liked, and setting an episode around them for another pulled out of the arse meeting that no one remembers is a total waste of time. Outside of the sleeping curse twist the rest of this show you can flush down the toilet. Open up the budget and put more magic and special effects into Once Upon A Time!!!

Nice to see the son of the Dark Archer watches Once Upon a Time! :)
I enjoyed most of the episode, but I just wish it really got going momentum-wise a little earlier on.

I try to expand my viewing pleasures! But I also have a very tough rating system and high expectations.. The show now seems stuck in mud. Too many of the characters are just standing around doing nothing. Everyone has upped their pay in their contracts for season six which means the budget has little to nothing left in terms of the magic, special effects, mythical creatures, and things of this sort. Constant dialogue with magical characters walking around everywhere, or in the case of Gold, staying in one place, has dulled the show tremendously. Can’t have characters whose motif is MAGIC, in which during the entire hour they don’t use any, especially against their enemies.
