‘Secrets and Lies’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Can Eric trust his own brother?
The second season of “Secrets and Lies” is continuing one of its biggest trends, and that is constantly turning stories around on their heads. When you’re at the center of an investigation like Eric is, we certainly feel like you’d like to have some people around you that you can trust and count on. After all, isn’t that the human thing to do?
Here’s where the unfortunate news comes into play for next week’s “The Parent,” given that we are going to be seeing Eric have to deal with some new people with surprising ties to his and Eric’s past. To go along with that, we’re also going to be seeing Detective Cornell struggle to try to resolve this case while also dealing with some issues from her own past, and that includes the arrival of her ex-husband Ethan. She’s gotten away for most of that in season 2 to date, but these are the sort of problems that do tend to come roaring back, playing a part in an investigation when you don’t want them to at all.
Synopsis – “A mysterious visitor, who had a secret connection to Kate, turns up in Eric’s office and leads him to a startling discovery. The more indiscretions and lies are revealed, the more Eric questions who he can trust – especially his brother, Patrick. Meanwhile, the second anniversary of her partner’s unsolved murder has Detective Cornell frustrated and on edge. Her ex-husband, Ethan, turns up unannounced to share some difficult news. Tensions build between Cornell and Danny, threatening to thwart each of their plans, and she continues to simultaneously bait and butt heads with Eric.”
Promo – Basically, the biggest threat that Eric could be facing here is his own brother. The hype is REAL after watching this.
