‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Will Charming search for answers on his father?
The sixth season of “Once Upon a Time” is allowing itself to dive deeper into some of its characters, and there are absolutely a few moments here and there where that is exciting. For one, we like seeing a side of Charming that is not always about being the best human being possible, mostly because that’s what makes him real. He cannot always be the embodiment of a fairy tale, and he has a significant ax to grind right now in terms of learning a few supposed things about his father’s death.
With this in mind, it’s not going to be something he is able to completely ignore. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Edward Kitsis makes it clear that we will see Charming look further at what is going on here in the episodes to come this season:
“We know he’s tempted … It’s not something that’s going to come to the forefront right away. It’s something he is clearly thinking about. I would be really disappointed if we didn’t pick it up and at least find out the answer by the end of the season.”
Fellow EP Adam Horowitz added the following:
“That story is not over. David has made a decision by not burning [the evidence] to pursue it. How he pursues it and when he pursues it, we’ll see as the season progresses. But he’s certainly wrestling with something, and how it impacts inversely in his relationships with Snow and his family is part of the story, as well as the ultimate answer to the mystery.”
We understand why Charming’s keeping the potential investigation from Snow (he’s already violated her trust in one regard), but won’t he have to tell her eventually? If there’s one thing we’ve learned from this show MANY times over, it’s that these sort of secrets do come out.
