‘Shark Tank’ video: Sunscreenr, unPack, Jocye’s Lulu Bang, Potato Parcel
Tonight, “Shark Tank” has another new episode coming on the air, and the folks over at ABC were kind enough this week to actually give us sneak previews of all the products. Isn’t that exciting? We like to think that these really run the gamut in terms of product type, and in terms of likelihood that a deal will get done. For example, one could reduce the odds of contracting skin cancer, and another could … well, it’s a potato you send in the mail.
Check out all of the videos below, and remember to click on a product name to go to their official website.
Joyce’s Lulu Bang – This entire pitch is basically one long double entendre, but hey, why not try to be memorable in the Tank? The idea here clearly is that you’re pitching a line of products that pack a punch, and if this is the way that you’re able to advertise them to the masses and get the Sharks’ attention, more power to you.
Potato Parcel – Think of this merely as a setup for what the product is: Potatoes that you send through the mail with messages on them. That’s about this. If this does somehow manage to get a deal, we’d consider it one of the biggest surprises in the history of the show.
UnPack – Yes, the whole idea of having one of the entrepreneurs play a guy unfamiliar with the company is a little hokey. Yet, this presentation does a good job of demonstrating precisely what it is that this service provides when it comes to giving you affordable luggage at a fair price that spares you the inconvenience of packing and traveling.
Sunscreenr – We said this earlier today in our first preview piece and we stand by it: This is a brilliant idea. We think that the big struggle that is going to come out of this is trying to find a way to convince the Sharks that there is a large enough market out there to justify what is an incredibly-high valuation.
