‘Will & Grace’ revival, ‘Bates Motel’ fans trick Google Maps, ‘The Americans’ create foreign airport at NYC college
It’s Friday and only three days before Halloween. Before you settle down for your regular TV programming, check your local listings to see what shows are on that offer a bit of a Halloween twist. From baking shows to sitcoms, everyone is getting ready to offer a little bit of a scare and there are some fun programs leading up to Halloween on Monday.
‘Bates Motel’ fans trick Google Maps; offers fake hotel guest reviews on TV show studio
“Bates Motel” is getting some seriously crappy reviews. No, I’m not talking about the show, I’m talking about the location where the show is filmed and it’s being done on purpose. The show has painstakingly made a set perfect for this series. In fact, it’s so perfect that it can be seen by Google satellites which is describing the area as a real hotel on Google maps. Fans started noticing this odd fact and started sharing reviews of the hotel. Unfortunately for Google, the viewers started leaving comments about the hotel (yes, the fake one) and it’s steadily grown to be a “Bates Motel” fan tradition. No, it’s not a real place to sleep…. Unless we are talking dirt nap status!
‘Will & Grace’ revival really happening? Cast in talks to bring show back
For fans of “Will & Grace” the showed ended years ago and tears were shed over the parting of ways. Now the rumors of the return of the sitcom has fans every excited. As the fans have been warned this is show in the preliminary stages, it’s looking to be the real deal and could be aired in the not-too-distant future. Here’s to hoping this really happens! It would lovely to see these characters on TV again.
‘The Americans’ transform a college building lobby into a foreign airport
Television set designers are the most underappreciated crew on a filming set. They make an area look like it needs to look and spare no expense in doing so. Perhaps that’s why the lobby of the science building at Queens college is so amazing. Students who use the building for classes have taken to social media to report the lobby was made into a foreign airport for “The Americans”. From what it looks like, it’s quite an amazing feat that brings another country to America. Plus, there is another similarity: Everyone at this fake foreign airport is standing in line too.
And Finally…Boo! Is that a McDonalds or Burger King?
Have you ever stopped at McDonalds or Burger King on your way home picking up food for a chance to kick off your shoes and watch television without having to worry about making dinner (or moving from the sofa)? I’ve done it at least twice this month. However, I have always known which drive thru I was pulling into. That’s why this Halloween prank is so funny. Take a look at the video clip and see how Burger King would look if it dressed up as McDonalds. Yeah, it’s hilarious and as long as the fries are crispy, I’d stop at either location!
