‘The Fall’ season 3 finale spoilers: The end is here for Jamie Dornan, Gillian Anderson

Tonight, “The Fall” is airing its penultimate episode on BBC Two, but for the sake of this article, we want to start to look more ahead towards Friday’s big finale. Yep, that’s right — the entire series starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan is coming to a close in just over 24 hours. Why rush it? It’s hard to say, but one possibility may just be that the show wanted to have this final episode air before we got around to Netflix airing the entire season starting this weekend.

We don’t think there are any huge spoilers in the information we’ve got below, but maybe you’ll still want to avoid reading on if you’re particularly averse to scoop.

Synopsis – “The series concludes as Gibson and Anderson put fresh evidence to Spector, with explosive results. Spector’s new-found friendship with another inmate develops, with devastating consequences.”

By the end of the finale, our clear hope is that, one way or another, there is resolution. Either Spector is in prison for the rest of his life, he’s got, or he is in an institution. Given that this may be the final episode of the entire series, we don’t want to see any dangling threads still out there. This is a show that has spent the majority of its run building towards something huge. We don’t necessarily need the episode to be explosive, but we do need something that makes this entire journey feel worth it.

Also, here’s to hoping for some more excellent performances from both Anderson and Dornan, who continue to be fantastic and worthy of every bit of love that they’ve been getting as of late.
