‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 18: Donald Trump inspired episode reportedly receives new date
When the network first delayed the episode it was clear that it would air eventually, and we now have further news about that. Per the Futon Critic, this episode is now set to air on Wednesday, November 16, which is a little over a week after the election takes place. This will be a chance for this episode to air without as much controversy, especially since the results will have (hopefully) started to die down by that time.
The part of this episode that we personally are the most interested in seeing is the performance by Gary Cole as the political figure at the center of the scandal; as of late we’ve come to love him even more thanks to work like “Veep,” but this could be an excellent opportunity to see him flex more of his dramatic muscles and hopefully remind everyone of how fantastic he truly is in that department.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of all of this to us is that NBC clearly knew what they were getting into with this episode before it even filmed, and they had to assume that there would be a reaction. Why decide to delay it after the fact?
