‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6, episode 6 spoilers: More on ‘Dark Waters,’ Captain Nemo
If you’ve been interested in seeing a Captain Hook centric episode of “Once Upon a Time” this season for quite some time, we come bearing some great news: You’re getting it with “Dark Waters” on Sunday. Not only will the famous pirate, as played by Colin O’Donoghue, end up getting himself in some drama in the present, but we’re also going to see him with the infamous Captain Nemo of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” in the past.
The synopsis below gives you a further indication as to what’s coming up:
“Emma tries to convince Aladdin to work with Jasmine to help Agrabah, while Regina teams up with Snow and David to free Archie from Zelena. The Evil Queen sows suspicion between Henry and Hook, even as Mr. Gold reminds her of his most important lesson. Meanwhile, in the past, Hook finds himself kidnapped by the mysterious Captain Nemo and held captive inside his legendary submarine, the Nautilus.”
The one question that we have after reading this pertains to the overall relevance of one Captian Nemo in the overall story in the present, given that he’s not mentioned there. We would assume that he’d have a role at least thematically there, given that there is not seemingly much of a reason to bring him in otherwise.
Also, we’re pleased to see that Aladdin and Jasmine are sticking around! This helps to further cement the perception of season 6 as a very different one to season 5; there’s not one arc that lasts for the entirety of the fall or the spring, so there’s a further air of unpredictability to what we are seeing.
