‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 4 preview: The 100th episode is here!
For any show to make it to a 100th episode requires a lot of work and a tremendous amount of effort. For a show like “Elementary,” we like to think that it is all the more special. This is a show that has battled difficult timeslots at times and a relative lack of promotion in recent years, but it’s figured out a way to stay on TV and continue to tell compelling, interesting cases. In terms of character drama and crimes that are off the beaten path, it is one of the better procedurals on TV.
On October 30, the show is going to have a chance to celebrate a milestone with “Henny Penny the Sky is Falling,” an episode that in turn will feature an opportunity for the unit to be celebrated, as well. Captain Gregson is going to try to pay that good fortune forward to Holmes and Watson, but based on the information that we have, that is no confirmation that this story will be without a mystery still to investigate.
Synopsis – “Captain Gregson lobbies to include Holmes and Watson when his unit is selected to receive a city commendation for its exemplary work. Also, as Holmes and Watson consult on the investigation into a financial analyst’s murder, they are drawn into the world of asteroid research.”
While we’re dealing something serious in murder, we like that we’re going to a place that is somewhat out-there in asteroid research. This could be a way to specifically recognize some of the stranger things that this show has brought to the table over time, and let’s be honest: There are quite a few of them. That’s what makes it stand out.
