‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Are Saara Aalto, Honey G, Ryan Lawrie in danger of elimination?
Tonight, the latest “X Factor” UK results show is coming to ITV, and at this point in the season, we’ve got a pretty solid feeling as to who the British public likes, and who they would be fine to not see any more of for at least the immediate future.
Let’s start things off here with some of the people who are for sure safe: Matt Terry, Four of Diamonds, Gifty Louise, and Sam Lavery. It’s hard to imagine them being in danger in any scenario after tonight. We’re not sure we’d say that they are the final four, but they had the performances last night to spare them. We also think that the sentiment is still strong enough around 5 After Midnight to keep them safe — we actually thought the performance was far and away better than what Simon Cowell gave them credit for over the course of the show.
As for who is most likely in jeopardy, meanwhile, we’d say that the needle is pointing first and foremost to Ryan Lawrie. He performed first on the night, which is never a good sign, and he also was criticized by some of the judges one week removed from being in the bottom three. Meanwhile, you’ve still got the super-polarizing Honey G out there, we could see someone like Emily Middlemas being in danger as a shock boot (we hope not personally), and you can’t rule out Saara Aalto. While we think she’s coming off of her best live-show performance this season, she’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea.
The one thing we do feel is that if Honey G does make it to the bottom two, it’ll be hard for the judges to justify keeping her.
