‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Weller, Nas?
“Blindspot” is a show that does love to drop the occasional surprise, and we do at the moment thing that the show is firmly giving us that and then some when it comes to the characters of Weller and Nas. These are two characters who were not necessarily anywhere close to the same wavelength at the start of this season, but that’s changed over time leading up to the two getting tangled up romantically recently.
Is there a future there? Well, let’s just say that the relationship status should be firmly placed on “it’s complicated.” In speaking on this subject to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Martin Gero passed along the following message:
“Nas and Weller are more alike than they want to admit … They’re both kind of loners, leaders, mono-fixated on a goal. They find a lot of comfort with each other — until Weller realized she’s bugging him. She’ll need to explain that one real quick if there’s any hope for something past a fling.”
Our general sentiment at present is that Weller is the type of person who will not let that go easily, and we also know that he’s dealing with a lot of trust issues at this point in his career. Just remember for a minute or two here everything else that he’s been through with Jane over the course of the past season. Does he really want to put himself in the long-term in a similar situation?
The one thing that may be interesting about the (possible) future for these two is that they are so much alike. In our mind, that could make it all the easier for the two of them to get along at times, but also clash at others. You have the same strengths, but also very similar weaknesses.

I agree with your entire review. I’m almost to the point of saying goodbye to Blindspot. To see Kurt & Nas together, in every episode, ruins the entire show for me. Kurt doesn’t even speak to Jane anymore, & acts like she’s not there. How could he have possibly fallen for Nas in this short period of time. The previews for episode 9 really gave me a headache. Kurt says to Nas”whatever happens, we’ll get through it together”, while he holds her hands on his chest. I just talked myself out of watching the show anymore. It aggravates me too much.

Remember Weller saying the same thing to Jane in Season 1 when she didn’t meet him at the park at the end of his street as he asked her to do. Weller to Jane: “You and me together… It’s just too complicated.” Weller did wait for Jane to meet him, but she had to meet Oscar instead. It seems that he waited a long, long time. Too bad for Weller. Really too bad for Jeller fanatics. Weller said those words to Jane from his feelings of hurt and disappointment. Hmmm, “complicated” as it may be for Weller and Nas, if they do hook up again in future episodes, many in the viewing audience may “uncomplicate” their distaste (yucky) of this arc by simply dropping the series. Kaput! To Jeller fans, the Weller/Nas on-screen kiss was “ugly” at best. Some viewers even posted puking (aka vomiting!) in their mouths when Weller and Nas locked lips. Hmmm, this storyline (should it continue…) is yet another reason Jeller supporters (a large portion of the Blindspot fan base) and other viewers may choose to leave the series… which will negatively impact the all important TV viewer rating polls – downward certainly. Can the writers and producers spell “cancellation”? That certainly would be an “ugly” end to it all. So sad.
