‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Upping the ante on Prometheus
At this point in the run of “Arrow,” it’s becoming increasingly clear just how big of a threat Prometheus is to Oliver Queen. This is a guy who’s willing to attack a known criminal mastermind like Tobias Church just for the sake of threatening him. You see something like that, it feels abundantly clear that this is someone who has little to no interest in messing around.
So when are we going to learn much more about this character? Think the upcoming November 9 episode, which is going to carry with it the title of “So It Begins.” This is when we’re going to see this mysterious adversary start to escalate his spree of violence, and as this happens, Oliver’s going to start to investigate a common thread with his victims. Per The CW, what we can tell you now is that it is Felicity and Curtis who are actually able to figure out precisely what some of the common threads are, and it’s not great news for Oliver: They realize that these victims are largely tied to his past.
It’s been confirmed multiple times over that Prometheus is someone created in some way by Oliver’s past, but the specific details are not entirely clear just yet. We recently wrote a piece all about this, pondering over if he was someone created through our hero’s time in Russia, or maybe the result of an event like Flashpoint.
Here are two more things we can tell you about this episode in preparation for it:
1. Felicity is going to consider finally telling her boyfriend Malone about what it is that she really does with a lot of her spare time.
2. Thea and Quentin are going to have an emotional conversation — hopefully, it’s not something that takes the former captain out of the loop, given that getting him involved always has a tendency to lead to some fantastic results. (Photo: The CW.)
