‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 5 sneak peeks: Eddie’s psychic, immigration drama, and more

Friday night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods” is entitled “For the Community,” and given all of the the time that immigration has remained a hot-button topic in America as of late, it only makes sense that it would become a key story point at some point this season.

The first sneak peek is where Erin Reagan starts to get the sense of what’s going on with a prominent Latina activist (Judy Reyes) is arrested, and there are questions that suddenly surface suggesting that she may not be in the country legally. Is deporting her really possible, and if so, is it the right thing to do? We figure that a classic Reagan family dilemma is going to come out of this.

Before this storyline is over, be prepared for some other characters to get involved in here.

As for a storyline we never saw coming in a million years, we’ve got for you below Eddie wanting Jamie to pay a visit to her psychic, one that apparently told her a few things about her life and her perfect guy. (Why didn’t this psychic say that her perfect guy’s name is “Jamie Reagan”? Come on!)

The final sneak peek, meanwhile, is all about grifting, which seems almost as random as getting one about Eddie and a psychic. This preview isn’t really giving us what we expected to see, which was a dinner-table discussion about one of the other two stories we’ve mentioned. That is typically the way that these family dinner scenes tend to go. Yet, somehow, we figure that it’ll be linked in with the rest of the episode in a way that will remain clear when the episode airs.
