Is ‘Chicago PD’ season 4, episode 5 new tonight? More on Antonio’s ‘Chicago Justice’ move
For this particular “Chicago PD” story, let’s go ahead and get the bad news out of the way: There is no new episode of the show airing on NBC tonight. Due to the Presidential Debate tonight, you’re going to be waiting until we get around to October 26 to see what happens next for some of these characters.
Is there a silver lining to that? We’d say so, mostly because we know there are plenty of people who are going to be watching the debate when it airs tonight and probably wouldn’t be watching the show live even in the event it was on. Therefore, it makes a little more sense logically for us to not have an episode that many would be putting on their DVRs.
For the sake of this article, we’re actually going to be looking ahead beyond even the October 26 and November 2 episodes to one airing on November 9, and there’s a rather simple reason for that: This will be the episode that features Antonio’s opportunity to head over from Intelligence into the world of “Chicago Justice.” He’ll be given the offer to be the lead investigator for the state attorney’s office. We know eventually that he will take it, but it’s not entirely clear if there will be any extensive debate that happens before we get around to that point.
As for what else you can expect to see during this episode, be prepared for a homicide investigation like no other lead by Voight, and also another storyline that will put body cameras front and center. There’s still a good bit of time before these episodes air, so we imagine that we’ll have much more to say about them then.
