‘Elementary’ season 5, episode 3 preview: Holmes learns a secret
For those of you who enjoy getting to learn more about the entire cast of “Elementary” beyond just Holmes and Watson, we come bearing great news: That is coming next week with the episode entitled “Render, and Then Seize Her,” which could contain a key story when it comes to Captain Gregson.
Synopsis – “Holmes learns a secret about Captain Gregson’s girlfriend when she hires him for a case she wants kept off of Gregson’s radar. Also, Holmes and Watson join the NYPD’s search for an abducted woman.”
First things first, the good news is that we’re seeing the return of Virginia Madsen as Paige. She’s one of those people who’s always a joy to have on the show, and she’s a part of that really good stable of recurring players at the series’ disposal.
Beyond that, what she wants with Holmes here should be interesting, mostly because she is putting him in a very precarious position given how often he does work with Gregson, and we like to think of Sherlock as a man who loves to pass along information. We suppose that the only way to judge this further will be once we start to figure out a little bit more news beyond what this provides.
As for the search for an abducted woman, what is there really to say about it? This could prove to be one of the most interesting standalone plots of the season, but with so little to go on, it is hard to find much of a way to hype this up. So long as there are a few twists in here and a little bit of trademark “Elementary” humor, we presume we’ll be satisfied with the end result.
